Following review text is verbal representation of numerical rating information:
Gibson's Les Paul Traditional Plus is a nice sounding instrument that plays well. Most musicians feel that, overall, it's a fine guitar. Not much to be asked for feature-wise, Gibson delivered what's expected: a sturdy, quality instrument at a fair price.
This guitar is fitted with all the features you could possibly wish for, for a playing style that goes with this kind of instrument. Carefully chosen features leave no guitar player's desire unfulfilled, which makes Gibson's Les Paul Traditional Plus an extremely well featured guitar with which you'll be thoroughly pleased. Highest grades for Les Paul Traditional Plus's features!
Not the best sounding guitar, Gibson's Les Paul Traditional Plus is still usable for not so much demanding musicians, for its tone is not the best in its class. Les Paul Traditional Plus could sound better if you take the time and pair it with a good amp while fiddling with settings. Once you find the right tone it can be played without noticing some obvious weak spots.
Gibson did a good job. Les Paul Traditional Plus is built well, the finish feels just right, the hardware is solid. While playing for a longer periods of time you can expect Les Paul Traditional Plus to stay in tune and you will be pleased while playing, because the neck is extremely comfortable. You might find that over time metal parts will oxidize a bit, but that's normal and nothing to worry about. Gibson did a really good job with Les Paul Traditional Plus guitar.
Playing live, Les Paul Traditional Plus will perform well and will not let you down. It is fairly reliable instrument both in studio and on stage, and will be a long term companion, as it is built to last. Gibson has made a solid instrument that you will be happy with, and can depend on right from the start. Needs no backup as it has proven to be built really well.

I just bought a new Les Paul Traditional Plus Lightburst and I absolutely love it!!!! I tried a 57 reissue, 58 reissue, 08 Standard and 3 different Traditional Plus' b/f I took this one home. I thought this traditional sounded better and played better than the 57 and 58, believe it or not. I really liked the 08 Standard, but for the price, the Traditional was the way to go. Really the only thing that I liked better about the 08 Standard were the Burstbucker Pro pickups. They had a little bit more bite than the 57's, but that is something that can be changed out if need be. The 08 Standard is a great guitar, even though it is chambered. I really liked it, but the Traditional played just as good. The main factor that made me lean towards the Traditional was the price (about $400 cheaper!!) and that it felt like a better built instrument. Les Pauls' are supposed to be heavy in my book. It all boils down to the player and what is important to you. If you plug it in, it sounds good, feels good and you have the cash to drop, then go for it. In my opinion, go play the Standard and Traditional. Figure out what you like and dislike about both, and then make your decision. In my opinon, both are badass guitars and either way, you cant go wrong!!!! Ive been gigging for about 18 yrs and I have played some nice Les Pauls. These two are both killer guitars. Hope this helps.....
