Fender Select Stratocaster HSS Review

Fender`s Select Series and it`s models are advertised under the slogan "Select instruments for select individuals", and these instruments truly are unique. This Select Stratocaster HSS is a solid bosied double cutaway model made of alder body with flamed maple top. It is available in antique burst color with gloss lacquer finish. No binding is featured on this model. The bridge is two point synchronized tremolo with vintage style bent steel saddles, chrome/nickel plating and string-through body construction. The pickups are laid out in humbucker-single-single pattern. All of the pickups are Fender Select. Controls for this model consist of master volume, two tone knobs and a five position blade pickup switch. The neck on this Strat is made of bird`s eye maple with a modern C shape and bolt-on joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and features 22 medium jumbo frets, dot position inlays, 1.685" wide synthetic bone nut. Fingerboard radius on this model is a compound one with a range from 9.50 at the bridge and grows up to 14" as it gets closer to the bridge. Other features include: chrome/nickel hardware, Fender tuning machines, 25-1/2" scale and four bolt neck plate with micro tilt and white plastic pickguard.
