Fender`s Modern Player Series of models is assigned the task of blending the classical models and shapes with some modern appointments. Modern Player Marauder starts off with a flat top double cutaway body made of solid koto. The finish is glossy on both Lake Placid Blue and Black color options. The bridge is chrome plated tremolo with string-through construction. Bridge pickup is a Fender Triplebucker and the neck pickup is Modern Player Jazzmaster single coil. They are controlled through master volume and tone, and a three position blade switch. The C-shaped maple neck features a bolt-on joint and a rosewood fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets and dot inlays. The scale is 25-1/2" long and the synthetic bone nut is 1.65" wide. The MSRP for this model is set at $559.
