Fender Kurt Cobain Mustang Review

In honor of Kurt Cobain`s life and work Fender decided to release a signature model Mustang, a guitar which was his primary instrument, especially in later years of his career and life. It starts off with a solid double cutaway body made of alder. The guitar has an unbound flat top and urethane gloss finish. Kurt Cobain Mustang is available in dark lake placid blue with stripe, sonic blue and fiesta red color options. The top also features a five-ply tortoise shell pickguard. The bridge on this model is a chrome plated Adjust-O-Matic with a Dynamic Tremolo Tailpiece, a classic Mustang feature. The pickups on this Mustang are configured in a H-S layout with a Seymour Duncan JB humbucker with direct mount in the bridge and slanted Mustang neck single coil pickup in the neck. These pickups are controlled through master volume and master tone controls with a kill-switch pickup selector and phase switch. The neck on this model is made of maple and features a Fender traditional C contour with a bolted joint. the fingerboard is made of rosewood and features 22 vintage styled frets with dot position inlays. The string nut is made of synthetic bone and measures 1.625" in width. Fingerboard radius is just 7.25" and the scale is shorter than Fender standard, it measures 24 inches.
