Fender 50th Anniversary Jaguar Review

Fender 50th Anniversary Jaguar is a model with which Fender celebrates one of it`s most unique models, both in features area, looks and history. Introduced back in 1962, Jaguar became an instant classic. It`s popularity had a resurgence in the mid 1970s when punk, and later post punk, post rock, grunge and alternative guitarists gave it new life and identity as an anti-hero guitar. This 50th Anniversary model is the most luxurious Jaguar ever built. It comes with a solid alder body offered in lake placid blue, candy apple red and burgundy mist metallic with gloss lacquer finish. Traditionally, the top features no binding. Also, there, on top is a classic Jaguar pickguard. The bridge is vintage style floating tremolo with the tremolo lock button. the bridge is plated in chrome. Pickups used for this model are two Special design Hot Jaguar single coil pickups. One is placed in the bridge and the other in the neck position. Controls consist of split volume and tone controls, special two-position tone switch and two on/off buttons for each pickup. The neck is made of maple and has a classic C contour with a bolt-on joint. The back of the neck is finished in lacquer. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and features 22 medium jumbo frets, pearloid block inlays, 9.50 radius and 1.65" synthetic bone nut. The scale on this model is according to Jaguar tradition only 24 inches long. This model was represented at NAMM 2012 in Anaheim, Ca.
