Limited Edition Les Paul Special II Dr. Skull is a guitar made by Epiphone, and clearly it's not the instrument that aims to please the most demanding guitar players, but it does its job at serving those less demanding really well.

Epiphone didn't go over the top with a set of features that make the Limited Edition Les Paul Special II Dr. Skull what it is: a guitar that will do the job, but won't thrill you with its limited features. However, it won't let you down if you feel you can get along with what's provided. You can try and search for better solutions, but still, Epiphone's Limited Edition Les Paul Special II Dr. Skull will deliver what you need in most situations.

Tone delivered by Epiphone's Limited Edition Les Paul Special II Dr. Skull makes it a serious sounding instrument that gives Epiphone a lot of reasons to be proud of it. Somewhat limited when playing certain music styles doesn't mean that Limited Edition Les Paul Special II Dr. Skull will make your tone to sound poor, quite the opposite, because Limited Edition Les Paul Special II Dr. Skull provides rich and versatile tone that you'll be happy with.

A bit more care and time would make this instrument a class better, but Epiphone's Limited Edition Les Paul Special II Dr. Skull doesn't look bad, nor does play badly. It stays in tune reasonably well, and can provide a not-too-demanding musician some good experience. Was it the price, or some other factor, but it feels that the hardware could have been done better; nevertheless, Limited Edition Les Paul Special II Dr. Skull is after all a good guitar which is not too hard to handle and set up.

This is a solidly built guitar that will play well live and in studio. It does provide a fair amount of confidence, and it can serve well both as a replacement and a first choice guitar for gigs and rehearsals. Epiphone feels confident in its Limited Edition Les Paul Special II Dr. Skull and it will serve you well in most situations. Durability and reliability are evenly balanced with this instrument.
