Elitist Les Paul Standard Plus is among the best looking Les Pauls coming from Epiphone. Sweet Vintage Sunburst and Faded Cherry Burst comprise the color palette of this model. They are finished in high gloss and Epiphone counters them with chrome on the hardware and creme-colored binding around the top. Flame maple top is bookmatched for both color schemes and it`s slightly arched. Base of the body is solid and made of mahogany. There`s also an elevated pickguard installed on the top. Bridge section includes a regular tune-o-matic bridge with stoptail bar in the back. USA series humbuckers are installed in the front and they feature a standard controls unit. One-piece mahogany neck is set and topped with a standard 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.

Glad I sought one of these out. What a joy to play. Weight is perfect (not too heavy, not light either). I was expecting a boat anchor with the solid african mahogany. Tone is just what I was looking for: les paul smooth, dark and rich. Very comfy 60's neck and the fretboard is slicker than snot. What a bargain! Les Paul sound and feel, plus nearly Gibson USA quality for half the price. Mine's a plus top. Gorgeous.
