ESP's Max Cavalera AX is fairly good guitar. Not a brilliant one, but Max Cavalera AX will serve you until you decide it's time to go for a bit more expensive guitar. You will not go wrong if you go ahead with Max Cavalera AX.

Some say that the average is golden, and maybe that is true for ESP's Max Cavalera AX as well. There are musicians who would like to see more features on Max Cavalera AX, but ESP felt that Max Cavalera AX provides enough features for a given price and the market that ESP aims for. Perhaps there are better equipped guitars then this one, but Max Cavalera AX will deliver what it's built for.

If you try playing Max Cavalera AX after an average guitar, it becomes obvious that this ESP deserves to be proud of making it sound so beautifully. It delivers great tone when plugged in to most amps and, versatile as it is, it will allow you to find your own tone that you will be proud of as well. ESP's Max Cavalera AX is surely a world class sounding instrument.

Though it could be better, action of ESP's Max Cavalera AX is not that bad at all. It may go out of tune when mistreated, but it's easily tuned back in no time. You won't be let down while playing Max Cavalera AX's neck. Guitar does feel a bit cheaper, but it will last you a long time, if you handle it with care that each instrument should be getting anyhow.

Some might say that ESP didn't go all the way in providing a reliable and durable instrument, but Max Cavalera AX isn't that bad. It will serve you well most of times, though you should be wary and have backups in situations where you feel Max Cavalera AX might let you down, such as gigs and studio sessions.
