There are better guitars then ML X but it feels like that ML X is truly a very good guitar in its price range. Dean could've maybe invested a bit more into ML X development phase and that would make ML X awesome, but it's by no means a bad guitar as it is.

Carefully chosen set of features makes Dean's ML X a really good guitar. Some might say that it lacks some of the features, but ML X's features still fulfill an average musician's needs. You won't be wrong to go for this axe 'cause it has a wide array of different sounds and a lot of possibilities for tweaking the sound to make it yours. Getting one of Dean's ML X is a way to go.

Tone delivered by Dean's ML X makes it a serious sounding instrument that gives Dean a lot of reasons to be proud of it. Somewhat limited when playing certain music styles doesn't mean that ML X will make your tone to sound poor, quite the opposite, because ML X provides rich and versatile tone that you'll be happy with.

Ready to play out of the box, Dean's ML X is easy to set it up even more precise than usual, thanks to great hardware pieces it has built in. Handling and playing this kind of guitar is a pure joy as it stays in tune 90% of the time, regardless of the level of usage. It feels reliable and it really is, as Dean put great deal of time and effort to produce such a good-looking guitar that is behaving well, as ML X does.

Playing live, ML X will perform well and will not let you down. It is fairly reliable instrument both in studio and on stage, and will be a long term companion, as it is built to last. Dean has made a solid instrument that you will be happy with, and can depend on right from the start. Needs no backup as it has proven to be built really well.
