There are better guitars then Evo XM but it feels like that Evo XM is truly a very good guitar in its price range. Dean could've maybe invested a bit more into Evo XM development phase and that would make Evo XM awesome, but it's by no means a bad guitar as it is.

Dean went really far in carefully choosing Evo XM's features. There's little to be wished for, which makes Evo XM a full-featured guitar for a musician that plays a music style this instrument is primarily built for. If you decide to go for Dean's Evo XM you will be happy with its, safe to say - rich features. A job well-done by Evo XM.

Tone delivered by Dean's Evo XM makes it a serious sounding instrument that gives Dean a lot of reasons to be proud of it. Somewhat limited when playing certain music styles doesn't mean that Evo XM will make your tone to sound poor, quite the opposite, because Evo XM provides rich and versatile tone that you'll be happy with.

Dean did a good job. Evo XM is built well, the finish feels just right, the hardware is solid. While playing for a longer periods of time you can expect Evo XM to stay in tune and you will be pleased while playing, because the neck is extremely comfortable. You might find that over time metal parts will oxidize a bit, but that's normal and nothing to worry about. Dean did a really good job with Evo XM guitar.

Playing live, Evo XM will perform well and will not let you down. It is fairly reliable instrument both in studio and on stage, and will be a long term companion, as it is built to last. Dean has made a solid instrument that you will be happy with, and can depend on right from the start. Needs no backup as it has proven to be built really well.
