B.C. RICH AVENGE SOB REVIEW
Electric Guitar by 'B.C. Rich'
Not a very good choice, B.C. Rich didn't hit the target with Avenge SOB. A lots of features missing or not done the way most musicians would like, and the price is not attracting people to buy this guitar either.
Beast - Reduced 10% body with Basswood and String-thru
Rosewood fretboard
24 Jumbo frets
Black hardware
pickups: Single BCR Humbucker
B.C. Rich could throw in a bit more features into Avenge SOB but this guitar is definitely a useable musical instrument. Wether it's the price cut, or B.C. Rich felt that simplicity is the virtue, Avenge SOB is built around a limited set of features that one needs to investigate and see if it fits the need. Not a best equipped instrument, but Avenge SOB will please some musicians well.
You could find a better fitted guitar, but Avenge SOB is ready to be played by any musician willing to take time and adjust it to his/her needs. B.C. Rich built a guitar that has nice finish but it lack something that would make it feel even better. Guitar stays in tune reasonably well, if you don't force it too much, and the Avenge SOB's neck is playable.
If you're happy with B.C. Rich's Avenge SOB overall performance and characteristics, you can consider it to be a replacement guitar for your gigs. Even if used as only guitar Avenge SOB will perform, but don't overrate it and always try and find a backup. It is a solid guitar that will last long and perform well if you treat it right.
