Jimmy Earl, one of the world`s most renowned fusion and jazz bass players has finally got a signature model. Warwick and Jimmy joined forces and came up with this fantastic five-stringer. Jimmy Earl Signature model is a 2012 novelty, and it way unveiled at the NAMM Show this January in Anaheim, Ca. It starts off as a solid bodied double cutaway model with a body made of swamp ash. the body features no bindings and carvings. The flat top is equipped with a large tortoise shell pickguard. Natural oil is the only color option available for Jimmy Earl signature. In the bridge section, there is a Warwick`s own two-piece bridge with top-load construction and chrome plating. Pickups are laid out in S/S pattern with active EMG J-style pickups in both the bridge and neck positions. They are controlled through original MEC 1986 Blackbox electronics with master volume, balance, bass and treble control knobs. The volume knob is equipped with push-pull switch. Neck on this model is made of maple and connected to the body with a bolt-on joint. Maple fingerboard features 24 frets with yin-yang inlays and brass string nut. Warwick tuning machines, 34" scale and chrome hardware finish the list of specs.
