As opposed to the carved top TB10, TB240SC is a flat top acoustic-electric bass guitar. It comes with a jumbo-shaped body made of mahogany back and sides with cedar sound board on top. Mahogany is most often used with spruce sound boards, but Takamine opted to spice things up with cedar top. This top panel is equipped with creme binding and double circle rosette around the sound hole. Two color options are approved for this model`s color palette, Natural and Sunburst. Both come finished in gloss and look beautiful on this jumbo. Electronics section is equipped with a Cool Tube preamp installed on the shoulder of the body. Bridge section is equipped with a standard belly-contoured rosewood bridge. Fingerboard is also made of rosewood and it rocks 21 frets with dot inlays.
