Steinberger is still (several decades after the introduction of the revolutionary innovations) the most advanced guitar and bass brand on the market. There are brands which offer headless instruments, but the general level of technology throughout the catalog is still much lower with other major brands. Spirit series is one of two series of electric basses and it features five currently active models. XT-25 is the five-string variant of the series basic model, XT-2. It comes with a solid, trapezoid body made of maple wings and maple center (neck-through-body construction). On it`s top, there is a standard five-saddled Steinberger bridge with tuning machines, as well as a pair of active humbucking pickups. 24-fret fingerboard on this model is made of series standard material, rosewood.
