Vintage Modified series has a specific task within the Squier Guitars catalog. It`s objective is to offer high quality guitars with combined vintage and modern styling at reasonable price. Both the guitar and bass sides of this series are loaded with a multitude of instruments covering a staggering range of styles and genres. Bass side of the series is dominated by Jazz and Precision models which are, without a doubt, two most important four stringers with Fender badge ever made. For 2013, Squier has renewed the series and introduced several new Jazz Bass models. One of them is the new Vintage Modified Jazz Bass Fretless. It comes with a solid and double-cut agathis body. It`s flat on top and features vintage decorations. Bridge section is equipped with a vintage-styled four-saddler and it is fronted with a pair of J pickups, pair of passive Fender-designed single-coils. Standard controls unit is installed along with them. It is made up of master tone and two separate volume knobs. Maple neck is fit with a standard C contour in the back and it`s topped with a fretless ebonol fingerboard. Vintage tuners with chrome plating, 34" scale and 9.50" fingerboard radius complete the specs lists. The MSRP for this model is set at $499.99.
