Squier is Fender`s sub brand in charge of the budget friendly portions of the market. Within it`s part of catalog, there are several distinctive and original series made up of affordable variants of the upscale Fender models. Both the bass and guitar side of the catalog are based exclusively on Fender models. Vintage Modified is one of the most important series in the catalog and it offers a wide range of classically designed guitars and basses. For the summer of 2013, Squier is renewing and reinforcing the Vintage Modified series with a multitude of novelties. Among them is the new incarnation of the popular Vintage Modified Bass `70s. It comes with a solid and double-cut body made of soft maple. It is paired with a maple neck with C contour in the back. Bridge section on this model is fit with a four-saddled vintage bridge with chrome plating. Two Fender-designed single-coil pickups are installed in the front. One tone and two volume knobs comprise the controls unit. Maple neck is bolted to the body and it features the series standard 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. 34" scale, vintage tuners and 9.50" fingerboard radius complete the specs. The MSRP is set at $499.99.

Great output volume from the passive pickups. If you blindfold a professional player and have him/her try this bass just on sound and feel, it would get a very good grade!
