Aged Satin Natural
Stiletto is, together with Riot, one of the most important bass guitar concepts in the Schecter catalog. For 2014, these two iconic shapes are being used for the initial lineup of the newly formed Session series. This series aims at players who need a strong, sturdy and versatile bass for studio and recording purposes. Stiletto 4 is one of two Stiletto models found in the roster. It comes with a solid and flat swamp ash body and a bolt-on maple neck. The only color option for this model, and for the rest of the Session series models, is Aged Natural Satin. This basically means that the natural-colored body, neck and fingerboard are simply coated with a thin layer of satin lacquer in order to allow the maximum tone projection and strength. Thin satin finish allows the wood to breathe a lot better than the thick gloss lacquer upon the solid coat of paint. Standard four-saddled hardtail bridge with top-load and string-through variants is installed on this model. EMG`s active humbucker with the series standard controls unit (master volume, pickup pan knob and a three-band equalizer) comprise the pickups combo. Maple neck has the C contour in the back and a 24-fret maple fingerboard on the top. The MSRP for this model is set at $599.
