FB706 is one of three currently made FB700 models. It is a six-stringed bass, with solid-body construction, modern design and passive Mitchell electronics. Hardware is also "home made" and the only available color option is Natural. Body of this intermediate class six-stringer is made of mahogany base and quilted maple top. The two make for a strikingly beautiful contrast. The neck is made of three pieces of maple and two pieces of Indian rosewood, and is bolted to the body. 24-fret Indian rosewood fingerboard tops the neck (2.17" wide TUSQ nut, oval abalone inlays, medium jumbo frets). The pickups are Mitchell`s own MB6 passive alnico V humbuckers. They`re accompanied by a three-band EQ, master volume and pickup blend knobs. Top-load bridge and die-cast tuners complete the specs list.
