55-AJ is one of three models in the vintage-styled US series made by Lakland. This series aims at players who appreciate the elegant vintage looks and modern and versatile tone on their basses. 55-AJ is equipped with a Jazz Bass-like body and it is made of swamp ash base with a flamed maple top. This combo is one of the basic and most prominently used ones in Lakland`s electric bass section of the catalog. Trans Charcoal and several other gloss-finished color options are available for this model. On the top, Lakland installs a pair of passive single-coil pickups (the famous J/J combo) and a five-saddled hardtail bridge. Neck on this model is made of maple and it is topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
