AJ models in Lakland`s US series are paying homage to the cult Jazz Bass. Lakland attempts to offer elegant and well designed models with a bit vintage-oriented styling (these models look like they came from the 1980s). Sound-wise, Lakland US series Jazz Basses are made for modern bass players who value versatility over extremity in their tone. 44-AJ is a solid, double-cut bass with a body made of swamp ash base and flamed maple top. This is the standard combo for the entire series and all three models (including this one) have bolted maple necks. Pickups installed on the top come in the classic J/J pattern, most of the Jazz Bass models are known for. Maple neck is topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
