Dave Elefson of Megadeth and Jackson have a long lasting and very successful cooperation. His signature basses from Jackson are very popular, mainly due to their rock solid tone and Jackson signature build quality. This time around, Jackson and Dave introduce one four-stringed signature model for Dave. it is a Kelly-shaped model with solid construction. This modern take on the Kelly design is made of basswood in it`s entirety and paired with a maple neck. Body is flat and finished in high gloss. It features Dave`s signature pinstripe color scheme on the top. Bridge section on this four stringer is equipped with a four-saddle high mass bridge. It is plated in black, like the rest of the hardware. Pickups on this Kelly Bird Bass are made by EMG. 35HZ are featured in both the bridge and neck positions and they feature separate volume knobs with added three-band equalizer. Neck is made of maple and it is bolted onto the body. It features rather slim contour in the back and is finished in satin. On it`s top Jackson installs a 21-fret fingerboard made of maple. Tuning machines on the headstock feature modern design.
