Stephen Bruner, better known as Thundercat, is the latest addition to the stellar bass wing of the Ibanez signature artist family. Currently, the lineup of his signature series consists of only one model - TCB1006. Hopefully, we`ll see more of Thundercat`s basses down the line.
TCB1006 comes in with a hollow, single-cut body, glued-in neck, hybrid electronics, and unique styling. This beauty costs around $7000, which makes it one of the most (if not the most) expensive electric basses in Ibanez history. The only available color option is Autumn Leaf Burst Matte (w/gold hardware, black pickup covers).
Core construction features include a single-cut maple body (quilt maple back, sides & top), set-in maple/purpleheart neck (w/24-fret rosewood fingerboard), Hipshot bridge, hybrid piezo/magnetic/MIDI amplification, and Gotoh tuners.
