After three decades in production, SR series has seen many different concepts come and go. Core of the series remains the double-cut bass with slightly carved top and bolted neck. But, the latest development (introduced at 2017 NAMM) is semi-hollow, piezo-loaded SR bass.
SRH500 is the basic semi-hollow, piezo-outfitted SR bass. It sports n SR-shaped mahogany/spruce body with arm rest bevel, unbound "f" hole and a sculpted bolt-on joint. The neck is made of five pieces of jatoba and bubinga and sports the series`standard SRH4 profile. 24-fret rosewood fingerboard (with standard SR series` features and properties) tops the neck.
Major hardware and electronics features include a piezo-loaded hardtail bridge (AeroSilk piezo system with custom controls) and die-cast tuners.
