SR300 and 400 models represent the workhorse class of the Sound Gear range. They`re located in the standard SR series and are the best sold SR models. Their quality, versatility and affordable price policy has propelled them to the very top of the intermediate class. These can serve as both practice and stage instruments (beginner, amateur and semi professional players are aimed by SR300 and 400 basses). For 2014, Ibanez refreshes the SR400 line with an updated variant of the SR400QM. It is a solid and double-cut bass (as it is tradition in the SR range) with modern design and bolt-on neck joint construction. Mahogany and quilted maple are used for the body, while the maple and rosewood comprise the five-piece neck. On the top, CAP EXF-N2 humbuckers are installed. Volume knob, balance and three band equalizer comprise the controls. Five-piece neck is made of three pieces of maple with a pair of thin rosewood strips in between. On it`s top, there is the standard 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
