SR stands for Sound Gear (the first and the last letter of the name were taken to form the SR abbreviation) which is the name of the biggest bass series in Ibanez catalog. The original line was introduced many years ago and has grown into one of the biggest lines on the market. The main, standard line of the SR range covers the lower intermediate and intermediate classes, while the Premium and Prestige cater to the semi-professional and professional players. At 2016 NAMM, Ibanez has introduced seven Premium models and SR1905E is one of them. SR1905E kicks off with a solid and double-cut body made of two parts of rosewood and one part of ash sandwiched in between. Bubinga/wenge neck is a five-piece with Atlas-5 profile in the back and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. The fingerboard features medium frets, abalone inlays, 1.77" nut and 12" radius. Nordstrand`s "Big Single" pickups are featured on this upscale five-stringer and feature an extensive controls unit with a full 3-band EQ. Monorail bridge with five completely independent saddles and gold plating, gold-plated tuners on the headstock and also gold-plated strap buttons comprise the hardware section and complete this exclusive five-stringer.
