SR series forms the bulk of the Ibanez bass guitar catalog. It is the biggest and the most important bass line with Ibanez badge, accounting, probably, for more than fifty percent of all bass models brand produces. In 2016, Premium and regular SR sections are getting a major overhaul. New 1300, 1400 and 1900 models will reinforce the Premium line, while new 800, 500, 400 and 300 models will join the regular SR series. SR1900E is the single most expensive four-string SR model introduced this January. It features exclusive tonewoods, top shelf electronics and the best hardware Ibanez has to offer. SR1900E is a double-cut bass guitar with SR body, bolt-in neck and passive electronics. The body of this majestic four-stringer is made of two layers of rosewood with a layer of ash sandwiched in between. Bubinga/wenge neck is made of five pieces of wood and features a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on top (1.5" nut, 12" radius, abalone inlays). Nordstrand`s "Big Single" pickups are positioned in bridge and middle positions. These passive singles are strong enough to cut through any mix, but can be as subtle as summer breeze if the need be. Extensive controls unit allows players to completely morph and model the tone to their own taste and desire. Monorail bridge and deluxe tuners wrap the list of major features.
