SR1306E is the most affordable six-string bass Ibanez has introduced into the SR Premium series lineup at this year`s NAMM show. It is accompanied by a four and five-string option of the same rank - SR1304E and SR1305E, respectively. When compared to their 1400, 1600, 1800 and 1900 counterparts, main selling points of the SR1300 models are their lower price tags, simpler design and tone which is on par with the more expensive models. In fact, 1300 models have the same electronics and hardware as their costlier brethren, but they come with simpler design and more affordable tonewoods. SR1306E is the biggest 1300 model introduced at this year`s NAMM. It kicks off, just like the four and five-string models, with a mahogany body with a combined ash/walnut top. The five-piece bubinga/wenge neck is bolted into the body and rocks the super comfortable Atlas-6 profile. 24-fret fingerboard on its top is made of rosewood. It features abalone inlays, 2.125" nut and 12" radius. Nordstrand`s "Big Single" set of single-coil pickups and the series-standard controls unit make up the electronics of this beast. Complete control over the instrument`s tone and incredible adaptability are its key features. On the other side, six-saddled Monorail bridge and deluxe tuners (all plated in gold) guarantee flawless tuning stability.
