Ibanez catalog is divided into series and sub-series just like any other guitar brand catalog out there. But, what sets Ibanez apart is the use of explicit tier designations such as GIO, Premium and Prestige. GIO range deals with beginner instruments and is positioned below the standard series (usually standard series feature only the series name, leaving the "standard" designation out). On the other hand, Premium is one step above the standard, while the exclusive Prestige forms the top class of the catalog. SR series also has Premium and Prestige, as well as standard lines. At 2016 NAMM, SR range has received seven Premium models (there were no Prestige models) and SR1305 is the most affordable five-stringer among them. SR1305E kicks off with a mahogany-based body with a combined walnut/ash top. Bolt-in neck with Atlas-5 profile and five-piece bubinga/wenge construction completes the chassis. On its top, there`s a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone inlays, 1.77" nut and 12" radius. Nordstrand`s "Big Single" pickups are SR Premium line`s standard armament and the five-stringed 1305E is no exception. Extensive controls unit guarantees the players complete and utter control of their tone, while the Monorail bridge and deluxe tuners provide unwavering tuning stability.
