Most of the brands which offer fretless basses make them expensive and thus reserved for well-situated players. This year Ibanez took on the challenge to make fretless bass affordable to every player and the results are SR 370 F and SR 375 F. SR series models were the perfect starting point, for they are already affordable, have hot looks and tone. Four-stringed variant is named SR 370 F and it comes with a solid, double cutaway body made of maple. There is no top wood cover, though the top surface is carved. Binding and pickguard are scratched from the specs list, as it is a tradition for SR models to go with stripped-down looks. Bridge section on this model features Accu-cast B120 fixed bridge with chrome plating and top-mount construction. Pickups on SR 370 F are made by Ibanez and installed in H/H pattern. Both the bridge and neck option are named CAP EXF-N2. Master volume, master tone and bass, mid and treble boost/cut knobs comprise the controls unit. Neck is made of five pieces of maple and rosewood and it is bolted to the body. Fingerboard on this model is made of rosewood and it features fretless construction with dot position inlays, 1.50" wide string nut and 12" radius. Other features include 34" scale, cosmo black hardware and gloss finish.

A real beaut to hold and play. Felt like home as soon as I held it. I wish i had the fretted version and have even considered replacing the neck temporarily.
