Ibanez SDB 2 Review

This is the second generation of Sharlee D` Angelo`s signature bass line from Ibanez. This monster comes stronger than before, forged by Ibanez and Sharlee`s relentless stage ferocity which is enough to obliterate even the strongest basses. In order to march shoulder to shoulder with the legions of Arch Enemy, this bass is made extra strong and sturdy. It starts off with a solid mahogany body contoured after the Iceman shape. The flat top is bound in black as a contrast to the white flat color option which is the only one available for the SDB-2. The bridge consists of four mono-rail bridge saddles with string-through-body construction and cosmo black plating. Pickup department is filled with Ibanez PFR passive humbuckers. Bridge position contains PFR-B4 pickup and middle position has a PFR-N4. They are controlled through master volume, balance, bass boost/cut and treble boost/cut. The neck is made of five pieces of maple and bubinga with a special SDB-4 contour. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and equipped with 22 medium frets and a set of iron cross position inlays. Some of the main measurements bring us 1.69" wide string nut and 12" fingerboard radius.
