Ibanez ATK805E Review

ATK805E is a model from the newly established ATK Premium series in Ibanez solid bodied bass section of the catalog. This model is a five stringer and it comes with a solid ATK-shaped body. Body is made of ash and it`s flat, without top wood covers and binding. It only features a pickguard. This model is available in only one color option, it is Walnut Flat. Flat in Ibanez catalog stands for satin finish. Thin layer of satin finish and walnut paint beneath it allow wood to breathe in a more natural way, thus resulting with a stronger and more potent tone. Bridge section is equipped with a big and characteristic ATK bass bridge installation which features five saddles with top load construction. This chrome plated bridge has a plate with which it encircles the bridge pickup. It is a monster pickup, a double humbucker. Neck position features a single coil. Master volume, balance and three-band equalizer are accompanied by a three-way toggle pickup switch which selects coils within the humbucker. Neck is made of three pieces of maple and it sports a bolted joint. ATK contour is featured in the back. This neck is topped with a maple fingerboard. 22 medium frets, black dot inlays, 9.45" radius and 1.7" string nut are featured on it.
