Vintage Sunburst
500/1 Vintage `58 is one of many Violin basses produced by Hofner. This one belongs to the 500 series of vintage-styled remakes of the 1950s and 1960s Violin basses. 500/1 Vintage `58 comes with a unique design and unique construction. Body of this exclusive four-stringer is fully hollow and made of maple and spruce. Maple is used for the back and sides, while the spruce is used for the top. this one has no center block. Hofner offers this one only in Vintage Sunburst with gloss finish and nickel hardware. On the top, there is a two-piece bridge (fixed bridge + trapezoid tailpiece) and two single-coil pickups (middle and neck positions). Neck on this model is made of three pieces of maple. It is set in and topped with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard.
