Chaparral 12 String Bass is USA series` premier bass guitar. It`s most prominent feature is the fact that it has twelve strings. Electric bass is an instrument where four and five strings is considered more than enough and more than six is quite rare. This Chaparral, however, has three times more strings than a regular bass. Basically, it is a four-stringer with additional two sets of thinner strings installed along four main strings. Body of this strange twelve-stringer (an expression often linked with acoustic guitars) is solid, double-cut and made of mahogany. On it`s top, there is a twelve-string bridge and a pair of active humbuckers. Neck on this model is made of maple and it features a standard 21-fret rosewood fingerboard on it`s top.
