L series is a line of solid-bodied electric basses located in the Tribute segment of the G&L catalog. Tribute is a segment dedicated to the intermediate and lower intermediate portions of the market. It offers affordable and reliable basses with mostly blues and rock orientation. Country, jazz, pop and even hard rock, to some extent can be successfully played, but metal is a bit out of reach for these four and five-stringers. L-2500 Carved top is a five-stringed bass with a solid and double-cut body made of swamp ash back with flamed maple top. It is sold in Natural color with chrome hardware and gloss finish. Four-saddled hardtail bridge and two G&L humbuckers are installed on the top. Bolted hard rock maple neck is topped with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard.
