2014 lineup of the classic Thunderbird Bass series is being updated by only one model simply named 2014 Thunderbird. Such short and concise name reveals the nature and position of this model better than any other description ever could. This is a Thunderbird. The Thunderbird. This four-stringer comes with a combination of the best and time tested T-Bird appointments on one side and smart improvements on the other. Solid and single-cut body of this T-Bird has mahogany-made wings and a mahogany/walnut center (neck). This combo gives the 2014 Thunderbird an unprecedented amount of power and sustain. Following the tradition of guitars and basses created in the late 1950s and early 1960s, 2014 T-Bird has a flat-top body with no top wood cover and no binding around the body. Bridge is the classic and well known three-point adjustable hardtail with four saddles. In it`s front, there are two active pickups with a simple controls unit. Two volume knobs and a master tone knob comprise the controls unit. Mahogany/walnut neck runs through the body and is topped with a 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Grover tuners on the headstock complete the core specs list. he MSRP is set at $2,179.
