Fender`s Select Series is a line of exclusive models for players who seek both the ultimate performance and aesthetic values. These instruments are equipped with exotic top wood options, top shelf materials and supreme craftsmanship. This model, the Select Jazz Bass is a solid double cutaway model with a body made of alder back and flamed maple top. This Jazz Bass is available in amber burst color with gloss lacquer finish. The top is flat and features no binding. The bridge on Select Jazz Bass is a vintage styled high mass bridge with four saddles and nickel/chrome plating. The pickup configuration is Jazz Bass standard, and consists of two single coil pickups, one in the bridge and the other in the middle position. Both pickups are made for the Select Series. They are controlled through split volume and master tone knobs. This model features no pickup switches. The neck is made of quarter-sawn maple with a modern C contour and bolt-on joint. The back of the neck is finished in lacquer satin. Rosewood fingerboard is equipped with 20 medium jumbo frets and pearloid block inlays. The fingerboard radius is compound with 9.50" at the nut and goes up to 14" towards the bridge. String nut is made of synthetic bone and measures 1.50" in width. Scale is standard 34 inches.
