Fender Reverse Jaguar Bass Review

Pawn Shop is a special series from Fender, as it features models with a unique blend of vintage and modern appointments. Looks on these guitars and basses is rather vintage-styled, but the electronics, on the other hand bring modern sound. The series is generally oriented towards the players who like Fender`s classic shapes, but want to plays some modern rock `n` roll. Inspiration for these guitars and basses is drawn from '60s and '70s Fender models, but the actual Pawn Shop models were never made before. The unofficial motto of this series is "Guitars that never were, but should have been". Reverse Jaguar Bass comes with a solid, double cutaway body with a reversed Jaguar shape. It is made of alder and it features no top wood covers or bindings. Top on this model is flat and equipped with only a vintage-styled white plastic pickguard. The body on this reversed Jaguar is finished in polyester gloss finish. Bridge is a modern High Mass bridge made and developed by Fender. It is plated in chrome and the strings run through the body. In the pickups area Fender installs a pair of massive and loud humbuckers. These bad boys are capable of causing a minor earthquake, but can also purr like a cat. Controls unit consists of master volume and master tone knobs with the addition of a three-way toggle pickup switch. Control knobs are made of black plastic as opposed to the rest of the hardware with chrome-plating. Neck is made of maple and it comes with a renown C contour and bolted joint. It is finished in urethane and covered with a fingerboard, also made of maple. The fingerboard is equipped with a standard set of 20 medium jumbo frets covered with black dot position inlays. Also, it features 9.50" radius and 1.62" wide synthetic bone string nut. It is available in three color options: 2-Color Sunburst, Black and Candy Apple Red. All are finished in gloss and all share a common MSRP. It is set at $1.079.
