Limited Edition Sandblasted models with ash bodies come in two six-string and two four-string variants. On the four-string side, we have a Jazz and a Precision option. The full name of the Precision variant is Limited Edition Sandblasted Precision Bass with Ash Body. This article is dedicated to the Sandblasted Precision Bass. It comes with a solid and double-cut body made of ash and a bolt-on neck made of maple (this used to be the main tonewood combination before alder was introduced as a more affordable, easier to work with and, ultimately, better sounding option). As other three models in this series, Limited Edition Sandblasted Precision Bass comes in Crimson Red Transparent and Sapphire Blue Transparent color schemes. They are finished in satin and combined with black plastics and mixed nickel/chrome hardware. On the top of the body, Fender installs a standard hardtail bridge with four chrome-plated saddles and an American Standard P pickup in the middle position. The pickup is controlled through the master volume and master tone knobs. Maple neck on this outstanding P Bass is fit with a regular C profile in the back and a 20-fret maple fingerboard on the top. The fingerboard is fit with medium jumbo frets, black dot inlays and a 1.625" wide synthetic bone nut (all of them are standard Precision Bass fingerboard features, even including the 9.5" radius). Traditional Precision Bass headstock rocks four open-geared tuning machines installed in a single row.
