3-Color Sunburst
Jaco Pastorius was one of the reformers of the modern electric bass guitar. His lucid and highly technical style of playing was influenced by many genres and styles and, in turn, Jaco Pastorius influenced the players all over the map. In his honor, Fender makes the Jaco Pastorius Jazz Bass model. This one comes with the classic Jazz Bass contours and styling. Top of the body lacks the plastic part of the pickguard, thus leaving the alder body almost fully exposed. Maple is used for the bolt-on neck (maple is Fender`s favorite neck wood) and rosewood for the fingerboard. Top of the body is fit with a four-saddled bridge with chrome plating and two vintage single-coil Jazz pickups. Maple neck has the classic C contour in the back and the fingerboard on the top is fretless.
