Created by the Fender Custom Shop master builder Jason Smith, new Classic Player Rascal Bass is the first Classic Player four-stringer. Rascal concept was first introduced at the 2013 NAMM Show and in 2014 it made it`s debut as part of the Classic Player range. It is a solid-bodied bass guitar with Bass VI (Jaguar) body and a short 30" scale. Flat-top alder body of this sweet little rocker is made of alder and is paired with a bolt-on maple neck. Ocean Turquoise is the only color option available; it is finished in gloss and contrasted with chrome hardware. Custom designed hardtail bridge with barrel saddles and top-load construction is fronted by a trio of Seymour Duncan Lipstick Strat pickups. Master volume w/push-pull switch (adds bridge pickup in 4th and 5th positions), master tone and a five-position blade switch complete the controls. Comfortable and short maple neck is topped with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard. Due to the shorter scale, Rascal gives a very dynamic and harmonically rich tone, while the Duncans and the special controls unit give the players an unlimited number of choices and options.
