American Vintage is one of the top series in Fender`s catalog. It deals with high-end guitars and basses and aims at experienced musicians, who know exactly what they are looking for. American Vintage models are made as replicas of actual historic guitars and basses made by Fender in 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Even though they are pricey, the level of build and tone quality makes it worth every penny. For 2013 this series is being updated with four astonishing basses and one of them is '63 Precision Bass. This model comes with a solid, double-cut body made with the classic Precision contours. Flat on the top and contoured in the back, body of this Precision is available in four color options: 3 Color Sunburst, Seminole Red, Olympic White and Faded Sonic Blue. All are finished in gloss and available in combination with rosewood fingerboards. Bridge on this model is a vintage one and it features a metal cover on it. Split single coil pickup is also covered. Master volume and master tone knob comprise the controls unit. Maple neck is equipped with a bolt-on joint and a classic C contour in the back. It`s topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard.
