In e realm of the Jazz Bass, for sixty years, there`s been only one king, the Fender Precision Bass. None other ever managed to even come close. This instrument has shaped the face of the modern and popular music and has been played on so many recordings and gigs, that it can be rightfully named as one of ten most important instruments of 20th and 21st centuries. Fenders American Standard series has played a particularly significant role. Current four-stringed Jazz with American Standard badge has a solid and double-cut alder body with bolted maple neck. Standard High Mass bridge is fit with four saddles and fronted with two jazz pickups. Maple neck is bolted to the body and it features the standard C contour in the back. 20-fret fingerboard comes in both the maple and rosewood variants.
