Classic Series, as it`s name says, deals with beautiful vintage guitars, which pay tribute to some of the legendary models from Fender`s early history. These guitars, though being made in 21st century, look like it`s 1951 and they`ve just came off the production line. Modern manufacturing methods do not affect the vintage looks and tone of these models. For 2013, fender has made several updates for this series and '50s Precision Lacquer model is one of them. This stunning piece of modern luthiery comes with a solid, double-cut body made of alder. Standard for Fender, there are no top wood covers, binding and fancy decorations, as Fender`s fans prize functionality and simplicity above all. Bridge section on this black Precision is equipped with a vintage-styled four-saddle bridge with nickel plating. Pickups compartment is equipped with only one P-pickup in the middle position, just the way the 1950s Precisions had. Master volume and master tone knobs comprise the controls unit. Bolt-on maple neck is made with the classic C contour in the back and a 20-fret maple fingerboard on top. medium jumbo frets, dot inlays, 7.25" radius and 1.75" synthetic bone nut complete the fingerboard.
