The legend of Jazz Bass spans over five decades and it lives on stronger then ever with new American Standard model. 2012 Frankfurt Musikmesse is the place where the entire renewed American Standard line kicks off. Strat, Tele, P and Jazz are all updated and come in twelve variants. The main upgrade for this line is the addition of Fender Custom Shop pickups to the specs lists. All models have received pickups inspired by 1950s or 1960s. 2012 American Standard Jazz Bass Left Handed comes with a classic offset-waist contour with a double cutaway and body made of alder. Top is flat and features no binding or top woods. There are two color options available for this model. 3-color sunburst comes with gloss finish, red pickguard and rosewood fingerboard. Black variant brings gloss finish, white pickguard and maple fingerboard. The bridge is a High Mass Vintage and it features four saddles with chrome plating. It`s available with two construction solutions: top load or string-through. Pickups are configured in J/J pattern and they are Custom Shop '60s Jazz Bass® pickups. They are controlled through a standard layout of master tone and split volume knobs. The neck is made of maple and it features a modern C contour with a four-bolt bolt-on joint. The neck is also reinforced with Posiflex graphite neck support rods. Fingerboard comes in two variants: rosewood and maple. Either way, the specs are as follows: 20 medium jumbo frets, dot position inlays, 9.50" radius and 1.50" wide synthetic bone string nut. The MSRP for 2012 American Standard Jazz Bass Left Handed is set at $1,749.99.
