Closet Classic Series within the Fender Custom Shop catalog have a task of producing the instruments which look as if they were produced decades ago, but preserved in pristine condition. 1961 Closet Classic Jazz Bass comes with a solid double cutaway model with a body made of alder. This offset waist-bodied bass is available in black and arctic white colors with nitrocellulose lacquer finish. There are no bindings featured on this model. The bridge is an American Vintage bridge with an aluminum cover. The cover has letter "f" engraved on it`s top. The bridge is plated in chrome like the rest of the hardware. The pickup combo is a standard two single coils pattern with Vintage Jazz Bass single coil pickups in both bridge and neck positions. Controls consist of two volume and two tone controls. There is no pickup switch. The neck is made of maple and features a C contour and bolt-on joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and equipped with 20 medium jumbo frets, dot inlays, 7.25" radius and 1.50" wide micarta nut. The scale measures at 34 inches of length. The MSRP for 1961 Closet Classic Jazz Bass is set at $4,200.
