The bass side of the TL (short for Thinline) series is currently made up of three models - two four-stringers, and one five-stringer. All three are made with contemporary players and their needs in mind, as they all feature fast necks, slim body profiles, and superior tonal versatility. TL-4Z FL is the fretless variant of the series` basic model - TL-4Z. The two, basically, offer the same set of features and specs, with FL sporting the fretless fingerboard. Price tags are also pretty similar, which makes the 4Z-FL one of the best and most attractive options in sub $1,000 category. The core specs include mahogany back & sides, zebrawood top (white binding), 3-piece mahogany neck, fretless rosewood fingerboard, fixed rosewood bridge, Fishman electronics (Sonicore pickup), and Grover tuning machines.
