The RB bass was designed by Rocco Prestia of the legendary Tower of Power. Made to be the ultimate tone machine, Rocco`s Bass (what the RB abbreviation stands for) is one of the strongest pillars of ESP`s electric bass segment. The current lineup consists of two models, a four-stringer and a five-stringer (both belong to the LTD Deluxe tier). RB-1005SM (2018) is the five-string option. Main features include a solid and beveled body (made of thick swamp ash base and a beveled spalt maple cap), 5-piece maple/walnut neck (C profile, satin finish, bolt-on joint), ebony fingerboard (22 jumbo frets, dot inlays, standard 34" scale, 17.7" radius), Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound pickups (J/P configuration), hardtail Gotoh bridge, and Grover tuners.
