Edge is one of the longest running electric bass series in the industry. It debuted back in 1977 and has been in production ever since. Forty years after the inception, Edge is still Dean`s number one bass series and one of the strongest contenders in intermediate and lower intermediate classes.
Edge 2 Spalt Maple is a model introduced at 2017 NAMM along with the rest of the acoustic and electric updates and novelties. Solid and offset basswood base and spalted maple top form the classic Edge body. C-contoured maple neck (with bolt-on neck joint) and 24-fret rosewood fingerboard (with 16" radius, dot inlays and 1-1/2" PPS nut) complete this affordable four-stringer.
Hardware and electronics appointments featured on Spalt Maple model include a hardtail bridge, DMT Design humbuckers and die-cast tuners.
