Edge is Dean`s line of conventional double-cut basses with solid bodies and high quality electronics. Edge covers lot of ground and can be considered Dean` main bass line. There are several sub-series of Edge segment and Edge 1Q belongs to the Edge 1/09 line. It comes with a solid and double-cut body made of basswood. To make this four-stringer a bit more attractive, Dean throws in the quilt maple top with glossy finish and black hardware. Bridge section installed on the top is fit with a four-saddled hardtail bridge with black plating. Two humbuckers are featured in the front and they come with a series standard controls unit. Maple is used for the neck on this model and it`s topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
