Cort Curbow 52 Review

Curbow 52 is a model from the Curbow series situated in the electric bass department of the Cort catalog. The series features double cutaway bodies, 34" scales and Bartolini pickups in either one or two pickups configuration. The Curbow 52 is a new model for the year 2012 and it kicks off with a solid double cutaway body made of soft maple with a contoured top. It is available in brown sunburst with glossy finish. No pickguards and binding are featured on this model. The bridge on Curbow 52 is the same as on the other Curbow five stringers, a fixed EB10 with five saddles and platinum plating. The pickup combo on this model is made up of two active Bartolini pickups. Active Single coil MK1-5 pickups are featured in both bridge and neck positions. They are manipulated through master volume, master tone, Bartolini MK2 EQ with control knobs and an EQ on/off switch. The neck on this model is made of three pieces of Canadian hard maple with a bolt-on joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood with 24 large sized frets, no fingerboard inlays, only side dot markers and 15-3/4" radius.
